Phase 1 Catalog
The Phase 1 catalog is the set of titles enabled for capture during the first Pioneer cohort. It is intentionally narrow at launch and grows as additions clear target-list registration, source verification, and any per-title recorder checks.
Currently enabled
The titles a Pioneer can record against today:
- Valorant
- Overwatch
- Counter-Strike
- High on Life
- Uncharted 4
Prioritized expansion - first batch
The expansion list below is the current working queue for Phase 1. Titles should be enabled from this list in intersection-picking order against the cohort's installed libraries: titles already present in multiple Pioneers' Steam / Epic / etc. libraries get enabled first so same-night usability for the cohort is maximized.
Selection drivers
Two drivers govern what gets added next:
- Free-to-play preference. F2P titles remove the question of how a Pioneer obtains a paid copy. The majority of the expansion list is F2P or has a F2P entry point.
- Supported-launcher bias. Every title in the expansion list should ship through a launcher lane Playroll can source-verify locally. Today that means Steam, Epic, Battle.net, Xbox / Microsoft Store, GOG, EA, Ubisoft, Amazon Games, or itch.io. Do not use Riot as generic launcher-support evidence until the UI detector is confirmed in source.
Two-track structure
The list operates as two tracks, not as a flat priority order.
Fast-coverage track - titles that produce immediate recording hours across shooters, movement, driving, co-op, and third-person action. Standard solo capture flow.
Social / squad track - titles where multiple Pioneers can play together. Solo capture on these still produces useful data; the question of whether to also run structured group sessions with multiple Pioneers in the same party, consented voice capture, and a shared pre-session objective is a separate open product question and is not committed for Phase 1.

Trim-to-core
If only 11 of the 17 can land in the first wave, the trim is:
Once Human, Rust, Albion Online, EVE Online, Sea of Thieves, Destiny 2, Warframe, Fortnite, THE FINALS, Rocket League, Apex Legends.
9 of those 11 are free-to-play or have a free entry point. Only Rust and Sea of Thieves are paid in the trim, and both should be enabled only when the cohort already contains owners.
Caveats and open items
Destiny 2 - pending verification
Destiny 2 has historically produced all-black recorded footage in the recorder. The title is included in the prioritized expansion list above, but its enablement is gated on a verification pass in the current recorder build. If the all-black issue is still present, Destiny 2 drops from the list.
Riot / Valorant - wording caveat
Valorant is in the currently enabled capture catalog. That does not automatically mean Riot Client is a reusable supported store-detection lane. Local playroll-ui source inspected on 2026-05-17 did not include a Riot provider or detector. Keep this distinction intact in public and operator copy.
Group-session protocol - open
Whether Phase 1 also runs structured multi-Pioneer group sessions is a separate open product question. The social/squad titles above are enabled in either case because they support useful solo capture without the group-session layer. The structured-session decision affects scheduling, consent flow, and how coordinated-play sessions are tagged in the recorder, but it does not block any title enablement above.
Hard exclusions
- Split-screen titles remain unsupported by the recorder.
- One additional title in an upstream "Other" category is omitted from public lists pending a confidentiality decision.
